What Is Reiki and How Does It Work?

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique focused on stress reduction, relaxation, and overall well-being.

It is based on the idea that life energy, known as Ki (or Chi in Chinese traditions), flows through our bodies and surrounding aura. This energy is essential for maintaining health and vitality.

 

When Ki flows freely and remains balanced, it supports overall well-being. However, negative thoughts, emotions, and life experiences can disrupt this energy flow, leading to stress, discomfort, or illness. Reiki works by raising the body's vibrational energy to clear blockages and restore balance.

 

During a session, a Reiki practitioner channels energy through gentle hand movements, either placed on or just above the body, to realign and heal energy pathways. This process helps restore Ki to its natural, healthy state.

 

Many turn to Reiki for deep relaxation, stress relief, and support in physical and emotional healing. While it complements conventional medical treatments, Reiki offers a holistic approach by focusing on energy flow and balance.
